Sign Language Class

Our CARES event last night was a free sign language class for our community! One of our neighbors, Gail, taught the class. She has helped the hearing impaired all of her life. She even taught classes on-base for the Marines and during a Billy Graham conference. Sign language was definitely hard. We had a great time learning!

Jessa practicing at home. This means duck...and we think Sundae (our dog) looks like a duck...
so it seemed fitting for her. haha :)

Birthday Lunches & Hospital Visits

Most of my family lives in the Dallas-area...so, we celebrate quite a few birthdays together! We usually try to bundle some together. This month we went to Stratos Greek in Dallas for a birthday lunch celebration after church. Afterward, we went to check on our sweet friend and neighbor, Sonny. She had surgery on her leg this week and is currently undergoing therapy.

Lots and lots of presents!

Our lazy little Saturday...

Richard and I were blessed to have a lazy Saturday! Richard's allergies have been driving him crazy...he took some benedryl and had a nice long afternoon nap...he did watch the UT/OU game though! I had the opportunity to catch up on several projects that have been on my "to-do" list. Later that night, we enjoyed a  dinner date at Macaroni Grill.
Sweet little Pickle!
Sundae refusing to look at the camera...as always.
The waiter at Macaroni Grill surprised us with milk (to go with our dessert).... Richard was way too  happy!
How cute are these?! Gotta love target.

Pumpkins, pumpkins, everywhere!

Richard and I went to North Park Mall last night in search of the "perfect boots" for me... of course I ended up buying them from Kohls. :) My favorite store. BUT, we got to see some very large pumpkins at the mall! So glad October is here. Then we went to Starbucks to energize before decorating our apartment for Halloween!

Words of encouragement from the great Dr. Seuss...
